With the holiday season fast approaching, we know many of you are looking for ways to make your hair look its festive best. That’s why we’ve been working hard to create some great tips and tricks for pretty holiday hair. Whether you’re looking for a chic updo or a gorgeous blowout, we’ve got you covered.
Our first style is a cute updo that looks like a bow! Perfect for your holiday party and simple enough to do at home. All you need is a hair elastic and some bobby pins. (see photo 1)
Second, we love a classic ponytail. This ’60s pony is a classic style that elevates your day-to-day look. A little teasing, using a product to help smooth the flyaways, and wrapping the hair around the elastic make the simple style elevate to classic chic. (see photo 2)
Last but not least, you can’t leave out a gorgeous blowout. Maybe coming in as the hardest on the list, a couple of tips about making your blowout easier at home will make your blowout perfect in no time. Hair products are your friend. After shampooing and conditioner, it is important to prep the hair with a lightweight leave-in spray (moisture for thick, protein for straight, and fine). Be sure to let your hair dry 80% of the way before using your styling tools. You can do this by letting it air dry, or by using your blow dryer. Be sure to always direct the air down the hair strands, never up. Before moving forward, pick a product that is right for your hair type to get you optimal results. It could be smoothing or volume, maybe a little oil on the ends. Get yourself some clips to section off your hair. When you are beginning to get comfortable drying your hair, clip off in as many sections as needed. Use a round brush and dry one section at a time, spinning the brush around the hair as you go. Lift the top section up as you dry, and voila! You should have a beautiful blowout.
Whether you’re attending a holiday party or just want to look your best for a family gathering, our guide has you covered. We hope you find it helpful and wish you all the best for the upcoming holiday season!
